If you receive a mail like the one I have below, would you entertain it? I really don’t know about this organization and beside when I click their website, it is not showing at all. Second, I am just a jobless individual who also have obligations in life. If I probably have a lot of money, I will donate some to this organization. Sad to say, I am just a housewife.
It is up to you to decide if you entertain email like this. If you believed that this mail is of good cause, you can send help to them or simply contact the email they provided in here. It’s your decision.

Society for the Poor and Distressed
Dear Friend
Thank you for the time to read my email and your great desire to help others in needy. l am Mr. Collen Makumbirofa (age 33) from Zimbabwe and l am living in South Africa for the past five years after l fled political persecutions from our government.
l am a writer, journalist, and human rights activist. l write news articles and political comments.
My organization is Society for the Poor and Distressed (www.societyforthepoor.com- coming soon). Hope for the Refugees is the name of the project. Its aims are to help Zimbabwean refugees in South Africa. Zimbabwean refugees are suffering, starving and many homeless. There are no jobs in South Africa and my people face serious problems of poverty, xenophobia violence, deportations, and difficulties in getting permits.
So l want to assist them with food, clothes, advocacy some basic survival skills. l will be glad to work with you in assisting Zimbabweans. You can contribute in giving direct help to the people by handing over food parcels, clothes, doing some advocacy on Zimbabwean refugee rights in SA etc… and even doing some fundraising/material raising-clothes, books, food stuff etc..
l have been supported by South African organizations such as Frontline Fellowship, Christian Actions and lam also working towards developing a very good partnership with other powerful ministries like Methodist Church which is assisting thousands of Zimbabwean refugees with accommodation, money and other humanitarian needs.
l got your email on website (l don’t remember which one) after l thought of looking for overseas people who can support us in our quest to help our fellow brothers and sister’s in needy. l wait to hear from you.
Thank you. God bless.
