Sometimes, I am just forgetting things. This happen sometimes especially if the thing or object I am looking are so small like needle, button, clips, earrings and any other small things that are difficult to find. Last Friday, I already put out the SD Card from my canon camera so that I can upload the photos from Thursday’s Christmas gathering. I know I put it in front of my computer but after some minutes I can’t find it anymore. I thought I dropped it or put it somewhere else. I tried to look on the floor and in front of my pc but can’t still find it. Guess what where I found it? it was right on top of a notebook in front of my pc. The problem was, my SD card is red and the notebook is also red, the reason why I did not found it very fast. I already have a lot of memory cards and USB sticks that I even bought a case for it. You know the reason why? so that I can easily locate it when I need it..cool idea, isn’t it? Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

Orbital, SpaceX to resupply space station

HOUSTON (UPI) — Orbital Sciences of Dulles, Va., and SpaceX of Hawthorne, Calif., have been tapped to resupply the International Space Station when the space shuttle retires.

The two relatively small companies beat out industry giants Boeing and Lockheed Martin to win the $3.5 billion contract Tuesday, NASA said.

Orbital and SpaceX are to share unmanned cargo duties from 2010, when the shuttle fleet retires, until a new U.S. spacecraft is built, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.

Russian rockets will ferry U.S. astronauts to and from the Space Station during that time, the Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday.

“It is a way of taking American taxpayers’ dollars to pay an American company to take American payloads to the space station so we’re not entirely dependent on the kindness of the Russians,” said John Pike, a space expert at Global Security.org, a Washington think tank.

Happy Holidays to all! I hope you had a great and memorable one! Of course, we really had a great one celebrating it with good friends! I believed Christmas celebration is still not over but Christmas day is done. There are still New Year and three Kings that you might want to have some special celebration. But anyway, I will be talking here some computer terminologies that I also don’t know. I guess this post will add some infos which are relevant for me. Taking for example the words File Extensions.

If you have to consider the word, it looks like it is very easy to understand but it is not really. I guess when you are a computer expert this might be very easy for you. Since I am not really an Information technologist nor a computer engineer, the word File Extension sounds for me a bit complicated. File extension simply refers to computer files and can be considered as a type of metadata. Sometimes we received in our emails computer files which we really don’t know what it is. I even read in a website that sometimes these files contain viruses and very harmful to our computers. Be very careful when opening a certain file especially in your emails. Some might contain malwares and spywares which are dangerous to your pc’s.

On the other hand File Format is simply a particular way to encode information for storing in a computer file. These terms, computer files and file formats seems easy in a blink of an eye but I know these are also complicated words especially if you don’t have background about computer. I guess, I already posted a lot of Christmas greetings here. It means I don’t need to say it again now and I hope that it is okey with you guys! I am presently listening to my Ipod with cool music. I love music and I love singing too. I might not be a professional singer but I know how to sing. I just visited Flycell site. This is a very memorable and I guess a frightening experience that I want to share today. Sit back and relax! Before I will start it, let me first greet you a very Merry Christmas full of joy and memories! I hope you are celebrating it now happily with your friends and family! I wish you too a Happy New Year! I guess this time, I can start sharing my experience.

I grew up in Mindanao, Philippines. My Mother is originally from Cebu where most of our family are living now. One time in Cebu City as far as I could remember that was in 1999, me and my sister rode in a small bus to visit our eldest sister in Talisay. At that time, I was holding my first Nokia cellphone. I wrapped it inside a small towel. I guess the Nokia model is 5210 wherein there is still an antenna in it. Even though it was wrapped in a towel, you can still see the antenna. Public transportation in the Philippines especially in the city always stops anywhere in the road especially when there are passengers waiting to ride.

One time, the bus stopped. I was surprised because one of the three snatchers was grabbing my cellphone. I was really surprised that I was able to fight them back. Imagine three of them against me! That was amazing! I even can’t believed how I fought against them until they ran away. I was kicking and punching and boxing them! Honestly, I had some self defense lessons before. I know a little bit about self defense especially that I am already interested with it since I was a child. I really wanted to learn Aikido, Judo, Karate or Taekwando but my mother won’t allow me because she said I am a girl. . I just learned a bit self defense because my cousin taught me about it. I am also fan of watching a martial arts lesson in our neighbors house since one of our neighbor is a karate instructor. I was even a fan of Jacky Chan, Bruce Lee, Jean Claude Van Damme and a lot of good martial artists that I always watch their movies even until now.

The other passengers in the bus where also shocked and amazed of what I had done. Even my sister was also shocked of what had happened. An old woman sitting in my back was also very scared and told me that she was also amazed by my ability. I am really thankful that I let the three snatchers ran away through my self defense and karate. I am also thankful to God that the snatchers don’t have knives with them. They just don’t know that I am the sister of Jacky Chan…wink!! just kidding! I was very proud of myself after I won in the battle with them!! Wanna fight with me??? I guess not now! It’s Christmas time!! see the importance of learning self defense, karate and other forms martial arts especially in today’s world! happy holidays!!

Merry Christmas to One and All!! One more sleep and Christmas Eve is here. No more stopping for this. Time passes by so quickly! I also can’t believed that I am already more than one year of enjoying the blogosphere, meeting friends around the world, learning more about blogging, learning about internet and computer and hopefully will also also learn more about web hosting. I believed that it is better to share my ideas, thoughts, opinions here in the blogosphere than wasting my time with other things that are useless. Back to my main topic guys. I know more than one year if blogging is still not enough time to discover the vast world of blogosphere. last year, I was still wondering why other blogger friends have their dotcom, dotnet, dotorg or any any domain names. I received some comments that are written in html code in my friendster. Sometimes my friends even send these in my mail in friendster. I don’t know exactly if they know what are really these html codes. As I tried looking at it, they are adult or porno sites. I don’t know if they are aware of it. I will share to you the site.
