I know, I mentioned a lot about my vacation in Las Vegas but since this post is quite a related story, I decided to share this too. My sister and brother-in-law’s personal computers in Vegas, don’t have an anti-virus software. I asked them also regarding it that they need to have anti-virus software in their computers to prevent it from being corrupted. Since I am also using their computers during my stay there, I am just concerned if ever the PC’s will bag down. One day, it really happened. The computer was corrupted and the other one won’t work anymore. My brother-in-law re-installed again the programs and software for the computers but it is too much time consuming. Imagine he stayed the whole evening trying to re-install everything. I also felt sorry about it since I am also using the PC’s. He even mentioned that there are a lot of viruses in it which caused the PC’s to collapse. After he re-installed everything, he immediately purchased an anti-virus software to protect its computers. That sounds a great idea which I really agree!! At least he will not be bothered by those viruses and spywares any more. His PC’s are now protected.

If you want your computers to be protected too, I strongly suggest that you need to have anti-virus software in your PC. You don’t need to worry now because there are a lot of cheap antivirus software at Cheap Virus. Imagine for as low are $16.99, you computers will already be protected by viruses, malwares and spywares. We are even paying for our antivirus for around $7.50 a month. It is contract anyway, so we need to wait till our contract will end and might want to buy this very cheap ones at Cheap Virus. Don’t wait too long before your PC’c will be corrupted!! This is a follow-up post regarding “My camera is ok” which I posted yesterday. I sent my other Samsung camera for repair last time because it was not working properly. The repair service company said that there was something wrong with my Camera…They also mentioned that I probably have to check the battery that I am using in my camera. They recommend that I will used alkaline rechargeable batteries that has 2500 until 20850 maH. I just curious about the meaning of maH, so what I did I simply google it and bingo!! here is the meaning of maH..courtesy of phonescoop.com..thanks for this info!!

Lastly I ended up ordering some batteries for my three cameras..It will be two next time since I will be giving one to my sister in Pinas. I ordered online and I guess that is the cheapest battery I can find!! Since I also saw some items on sale like USB Stick and SD card, I also ordered some. There might be some people who still did not know about the importance of using GPS Systems. A lot might not even know what the meaning of GPS. Again I am repeating the meaning now. GPS stands for Global Positioning System. Through this modern technology invented by genius people out there (respect and thanks to you!), you can already track the location, time and the movement of the person or the vehicle that uses GPS system.

Let me tell you this experience of mine. I am sending a Balikbayan box to my home country. The forwarder business don’t used GPS navigator for the first time they picked-up my box..Well, I waited the whole day because they are lost while driving to our house to pick-up my box. The second time, they picked-up my Box, they are already on time because the driver already have a GPS Navigator and he said that it is really very easy to locate my place. I have some eye problems sometimes. I mean my eyes are painful. The last time I was in my Ophthalmologist was in April of this year but he found nothing during the eye examination. I was even complaining if my migraine or headaches are cause by my eye problems. As far as I can remember, I was wearing glasses 15 years ago. I am not really sure at this moment if my eyes I really bad. I really don’t want to wear eyeglasses again. I guess contact lenses are better. What do you think? I just found very good deals at Aclens. Besides they also offer variety of contact lenses with very reasonable prices. Need one!!

Britain museum notes discovery of huge bug

LONDON – A stick bug from the island of Borneo measuring well over a foot in length has been identified by researchers as the world’s longest insect, British scientists said Thursday.

The specimen was found by a local villager and handed to Malaysian amateur naturalist Datuk Chan Chew Lun in 1989, according to Philip Bragg, who formally identified the insect in this month’s issue of peer-reviewed journal Zootaxa. The insect was named Phobaeticus chani, or “Chan’s megastick,” in Chan’s honor.

Paul Brock, a scientific associate of the Natural History Museum in London unconnected to the insect’s discovery said there was no doubt it was the longest still in existence. That assessment was also confirmed by Marco Gottardo, an entomologist at Italy’s Natural History Museum of Ferrara and Aaron T. Dossey, a researcher at the University of Florida in Gainesville who studies the insects.

Looking like a pencil-thin shoot of bamboo, the dull-green insect measures about 22 inches, if its twig-like legs are counted. Its body length is 14 inches, beating the previous record held by Phobaeticus kirbyi, also from Borneo, by about an inch.

Stick bugs have some of the animal kingdom’s cleverest camouflage. Although some use noxious sprays or prickly spines to deter their predators, generally the bugs assume the shape of sticks and leaves to avoid drawing attention.

“Their main defense is basically hanging around, looking like a twig,” Brock said. “It will even sway in the wind.”
