I have a lot of blogs..well I guess being addicted to blogging. Would you believe it if I would say a total of 10 blogs..I am always trying my best to work hard on my blogs. I want to have my blogs more traffics and even working to have high PR..

BOULDER, Colo. (UPI) — U.S. climate scientists are forecasting a 3-in-5 chance of record low amounts of Arctic sea ice forming this year. The University of Colorado-Boulder researchers said their forecast of a 59 percent chance of record low Arctic sea ice is based on satellite data, temperature records and a preponderance of younger and thinner ice.

The scientists at the university’s Center for Astrodynamics Research noted the extent of Arctic sea ice has declined roughly 10 percent during the past decade, culminating in a record 2007 minimum ice cover of 1.59 million square miles. That broke the 2005 record by 460,000 square miles — an area the size of Texas and California combined. Changes in Arctic sea ice are “one of the more compelling and obvious signs of climate change,” said Sheldon Drobot, who leads the center’s Arctic Regional Ice Forecasting System group.

He said continued Arctic sea ice declines likely will negatively impact various kinds of wildlife, including polar bears, walruses and seals. The University of Colorado-Boulder’s Arctic Regional Ice Forecasting System group says it is the only research group in the world issuing seasonal Arctic sea ice forecasts based on probability.

I was just surprised last Wednesday, reading from a comment in my blogs that all my 3 blogs have Google Pagerank 4. The comment was from my great friend Carlota aka Choco…hey friend….your great!!! super!! ..I have not met her yet in personal but she is really fantastic esp. in helping me a lot of stuffs in the blogsphere!!

of course, I was so happy!!! what can you expect after having pr4 in my 3 blogs.. I believed I also deserved it as I really put a lot of effort in my blogs..The truth is 2 weeks ago, I lost my PR3 in my Simply the Best blog!! I was very sad and desperate….I did not lost hope..I know one day, Big G will recognize again all the time and effort I made…and surprised, I got it!! I hope that, I won’t lost it again!!

SHEFFIELD, England (UPI) — British medical scientists say they have created a technology that illuminates a person’s lungs to help determine if they are correctly functioning.

The University of Sheffield researchers said their technology could result in earlier diagnosis of emphysema and smoking related damage, as well as other lung conditions and diseases.

The technique involves a person inhaling small amounts of harmless hyperpolarized noble gases (Helium-3 and Xenon-129), which are then imaged inside a MRI scanner. The gases are hyperpolarized using high power lasers by a process called optical pumping.

The high resolution images of the air spaces that are produced offer additional functional information that is currently not available with traditional X-rays and other types of scans, the researchers said.

The technology can also be used to help detect the early stages of lung obstruction in children with cystic fibrosis, something which a traditional X-ray would miss, they said.

The scientists said they are now considering using the technology to assess inhaled therapies for asthma patients and help plan radiotherapy treatment in patients with lung cancer.
