I read in a German newspaper yesterday that a girl sprayed a pepper spray to her attacker in a festival in Regensburg. I believed she only wanted to defend herself in that situation. I am also thinking of something to defend me during difficult times. A pepper spray might also be a good idea especially if I am traveling alone. (more…)

I guess I don’t need to apologize for posting this message. The subject of this email which was sent to me last week says like this, “Re: # Account Disabled (URGENT)”. Why I say  this is a scam? First, I know that I don’t currently live in the Philippines and I never had an account with RCBC. This stands for Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation. Why I know that? I also worked with the top 3 bank in the Philippines before  but resigned my job because I need to join my husband abroad.

Second reason why this is a scam; The sender of the email is not really  from any RCBC personnel or employe e from from this email address  manzoor@ietgroup.org. (more…)

I had a good conversation with a friend during my recent travel. We talked a lot of things from travel to shopping and also about business. I like her because she is a very business-minded individual. There are only things that are missing from her. I guess she needs business cards. Being a businesswoman, she needed this card to hand to prospect customers she met along the way. I would love to recommend a printing company the next time I will see her. (more…)

I guess,  it is not  yet to late to go back to the corporate world again.  I am thinking about this for some time now.  I just need the right decision one of  these days.  I feel sad everytime I think that my Bachelors degree  in Accounting and my 9 years  experience in one of the top  financial institution  back home is not acknowledge in Europe.  To pursue my  career, I believed I need to go back to school again.  I am thinking of taking  Online Accounting courses to refresh my mind or maybe to go back to the university to take related courses about finance and accounting. I guess some friends or acquaintances are thinking that I am very expert about finding cheap travels. I guess, I am!  Traveling in over 30 countries  worldwide especially in Europe gave me the  opportunity to always find for cheap trips.

First of all, I want to thank God for bringing me home safely from my recent  travel. I am glad that I did experienced during that trip. So far, I can say that it was  a  successful trip I had. I visited 5 countries during that trip in the Balkan Peninsula.

I was only upset because the 10-30mm lense of my Nikon J1 camera did not function anymore. One day while riding  in a bus on our way to Montenegro, the lense malfunction. It says something like this everytime I turn on the camera, “Lense error, please contact  Nikon representative”.   I  was still able to use the camera using the other lense which is 30-110 mm. I  normally use most of the time the 10-30 mm lense but since it  is broken, I ended up using the other one which is not really good for taking close-up photos.

I will contact tomorrow  the Nikon company for further instruction since my camera is still on a warranty period. I believed they can fix it or else they must replace a new one for it.  Wish me luck!

For those who love to sing and who love to play music instruments, I believe you already know where to shop for your music gadgets. I already browsed a lot of site online that are engaged in selling music instruments of all kinds. I browsed for harbinger ha60 at guitar center last week and I am loving their site. I already a former colleague who asked me to buy him speakers like these. He owns a musical band back home and until now, he is still managing it. I want to forward to him this site so he can decide if he wants to order it or not.

I was not able to view my yahoo mails this morning. The following message appeared in my computer screen;

This is good because this means that yahoo is updating its system from time to  time. Besides I am a happy user of yahoo mail and its other services since 2000 and I love this platform.  If you are looking for free email address, you can type yahoo.com in your browser and simply follow the instruction. Have fun!

I was informed by a good friend how important it is to update plug-ins  if your blogs are hosted in wordpress.  One reason  is to get updated with the current security  settings of the blog to fix security bugs in their HTML sanitation library, called KSES and other security issues.

If I read notices in my dashboard regarding plug-in updates, I immediately do it as soon as I can. Better be safe that sorry. This is one of the messages I read when plug-ins need to be updated. (more…)

I guess this is a continuation of my previous post about Ireland. It was all about watching live music in our hotel in Lisdoovarna. I seldom hear country music but due to the recent trip we had in Ireland, I begin to love this kind of music. There were three musicians who performed that night at the bar of the hotel where we stayed in. I tried to find universal audio apollo in their gadgets but since there were a lot of people watching the live music that night, I did not had the chance to go in front of the stage. What was clear to me was one of the musicians played a guitar, the other sing and I guessed the other one played a violin. Two young ladies   who performed dances were also there.

That was so far a lovely night while sipping a glass of Guinness in our hotel in Lisdoovarna, Ireland.
