I went to Plaza Canovas del Castillo to buy some souvenirs from Madrid, Spain last Tuesday.  It is located near Fuente de Neptuno or Neptune Fountain which is just very near to  the famous Prado museum.  I bought some postcards, fridge magnet, plates and keychains. I was looking for  customized t-shirts from Madrid but I cannot find one.  I already bought some printed souvenir shirts during my first visit in this city last December 2011 so I decided not to buy some anymore.  If I find customized ones, probably I can buy some.

This is one thing I always do when I  travel anywhere, buying souvenirs from the every  place I visit.

Hello world! I don’t feel like going out today. There is currently a 24-hour welga or national strike especially in Spain’s capital city of Madrid. There are a lot of shops and stores that are closed. We should go out today but decided not to go because of this strike. We only want to go window shopping especially in El Corte Ingles here in Madrid but it seems that it is also closed. I would love to look for ugg boots in this famous Spain department store. I don’t really plan to buy one but only go for window shopping. The reason, I already bought one in Germany.

Microsoft Word: Love it or hate it, practically everyone uses it. I’ve been using it so long, I thought I knew everything about it. But I stumbled across some super helpful shortcuts — hidden tricks and timesavers that make Microsoft Word easier and faster.

One caveat for these tips: different versions of Word may have different commands, so some of these may not work in your version. That said, here are my top eight shortcuts:

1. Double Click And Drag
If you’re like most people, when you want to move a section of text from one place to another, you use Control-C to cut and Control-V to paste. That’s fine. It works. But there’s a faster way: Double click or highlight what you want to move, then simply drag what you’ve highlighted to where you want it to land.

2. Double Underline
You know you can affect text by hitting Control-B to make it bold or Control-U to underline. But if one line of underlining just isn’t emphatic enough, Control-Shift-D will double underline. (On a Mac, use Command-Shift-D.)

It was so far a very good day yesterday with friends. We planned to go crystal shopping in Weiden but it did not push through. I guess it was better like that way. We indeed up window shopping. Someone really did a mega-shopping. I was so happy for her stuffs. A branded new bag, very nice winter leather boots, comfortable sandals, are some of the stuffs she brought home. I just wanted some cheap scrubs for me but I forgot to grab it. I saw it just near the entrance but I was blinded during our window shopping. The next time we come back to that place, I will surely grab new scrubs for me. Anyway, I am also happy with my new winter boots. It was actually on sale, the reason why I grabbed it. I saved around 35% for that boots. I found it good besides it is really of good quality. The ladies truly had fun shopping yesterday. The weather was also perfect. I can feel the advent of spring season!

I received a letter last week from the German Post Office about the delivery of my order in Amazon.com. They said that it was hold by the Zollamt or Custom Office in Regensburg and I have to pick it up no later than 14 days.

This is the disadvantage when you order goods outside the European Union countries. In Germany for example, the Custom Office will surely hold the goods. If I am not mistaken, I need to pay for the taxes levied in that items according to German rules and regulations. I guess I need to pay the 19% Merhwertsteuer or value added tax. I will see how it is going when I will pick-up the photo accessories tomorrow.

I always love to take pictures but never edit them. I wrote a post last week here that I ordered a photo editing software from Amazon.com. The Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Adobe Premier Elements 10 finally arrived last Friday. I hope I can have more time learning and practicing photo editing. I have thousands of photos especially from my travel and trips but never had the chance to edit them. I hope this time since I already have the software, I can already make some of the pictures better through this photo-editing software.

Life is short and if we can, we have to make the most of it everyday. I always love to have fun. Whether I am with friends, with my family or even I am alone, I always see to it that boredom has no place at all. I don’t really feel bored when I am alone at home. Thanks to my magic sing where I can enjoy singing with a glass of wine. I am not really a good singer but I can sing. When I was still young, I always wanted to sing and to play the guitar. Sad to say my parents cannot afford to buy one of those new Electric Guitars that time. I am happy because one of my friends can play the piano and guitar also. I can still remember when we used to join together in a choir singing during church mass in our school or in the community. For now my singing career is only good during friend’s gathering or singing in a party or celebration. I am quite happy with it. I don’t need to be famous because I am quite happy and contented with my life. Lastly, I can say that for the rest of my life, I will keep on singing. Cheers!

I received an email yesterday about the shipping update of the item I ordered in amazon.com last Friday. I wrote an article about this order here. I wish to learn more about photography and that is the reason why I ordered it. Besides it was on sale last Friday and I save around 40 bucks from buying it. Today, when I looked at it in amazon, it is already in its original price. I am happy ordering this software.

It was two weeks ago when I called home and greeted my beloved on his special day. It was the day when he was evicted from my grandma’s womb. He is 76 years old now and I believed he is having a good time living under the sunny blue sky near the beach with palm trees. The last time I joined him on his birthday celebration was in 2010 when I had my last vacation in the Philippines. Hopefully next year, I can join him again and want to surprise by giving personalized gifts for him on his very special day. I am quite sure he will be happy with what I am planning to give him. To you dear Father, I am always wishing you more days and years in your life with good health always, love, peace contentment and happiness. We love you and can’t wait to see you again.

I did shopped for some items in amazon the past weeks. Last Friday when they sent me an email that certain software were on sale that day, I did not hesitated to order one. I always wanted to learn Photoshop since I am a photo enthusiast. I always love to take pictures of anything especially when I am on travel or vacation.
