Good evening guys! I just give you a quick update this evening. I am not really feeling good since yesterday. The right side of my stomach is painful and my cough is not getting better. I guess it is time to visit the doctor tomorrow. I also need to visit my dermatologist as soon as I can. I am not sure if the itchy skin on my foot is a sort of a so-called eczema. I am not really sure. I should go to the doctor this morning but the weather is not quite friendly. One more thing, I also need to visit the dentist. One of my teeth is getting sensitive now. When I drink cold water it is getting painful. When a cold air also gets inside it, it is also painful. Oh gosh, I guess I am getting old now. Goodnight folks. It is time to go to bed. I was away for a long vacation from Nov. 2009 to Feb. 2010 in the Philippines. As I came back to Germany, one of the first things I checked was our bank statement. Being the secretary and treasurer in the house, I guess it is one of my duties..wink! As a former banker and accountant, it is easy for me to check financial statements and bank statements which are one of my responsibilities before in the bank. One of the things I noticed immediately was the billing on my car insurance. I thought we already have a cheap car insurance for this year. The car insurance broker billed us the wrong amount which he promised before I left for vacation in November 2009. I immediately told my husband to call the broker and immediately correct it. Three days after we called him, we already saw the correction for my car insurance billing. Imagine we had 200 Euros cheaper for this year. That quite a lot of money. I can already have a Europe trip for this money.wink! I am thankful that even I am jobless, I can still drive my own car. I guess that’s all for now. Have a great day!

You see exactly what error I had last March 10, 2010. It is about Spooler Subsystem App which encountered a problem. I printed screen it for my personal use. Honestly, I was scared as I saw this appeared on my desktop. I thought my computer collapsed already. I am thinking of buying anew one now. I will see when finances are possible.

I found out in Microsoft Support that when “you try to start or stop the Print Spooler service, or when you click Start and then click Printers and Faxes, you may receive the following error message: Spooler subsystem app has encountered a problem and needs to close.”

I guess my computer is working good again even though, I really did not make any thing after I encountered this problem.

Good afternoon everyone! We are currently not having a good weather in Germany. It is raining and sometimes it is also snowing outside right now. Anyway, I am just giving you a short update about email scams in the internet. It’s been some months now that I did not receive scam mails but this month, it seems that the scammers are attacking again. BEWARE AGAIN AND PLEASE DON’T ENTERTAIN MAILS LIKE THIS. PUT IT IMMEDIATELY IN YOUR SPAM MAILS SO YOU WON’T RECEIVE IT AGAIN. I would rather search for custom travel mugs that entertaining these kind of mails. I almost forgot it that today is the celebration of International Women’s Day. Thanks to a radio station who reminded me about it. I was driving to Parsberg this afternoon to go shopping for grocery and heard about the news. I would say congratulations to all women out there especially for those who had attained achievements economically, socially and politically. I know each of us has its own story to tell whether it is small or big as long as we are trying to make this world a better place to live in. Simple acts of women like washing the dishes and laundries, cleaning the house, cooking for the family, teaching values to her children or simply shopping for groceries for the family’s need are simple but noble acts. Not many people might see it as valuable but these are simple actions where women shows their importance to the society especially to the family.

I guess I have my own story to tell also. I might not be great for the eyes of others but I am trying my best to do my job as a wife, sister, friend and daughter. I remember one honest act which I did last time. The cashier forgot to scan one grocery item with her barcode scanner. I returned it back to her and told her that it was not scan yet and I must pay for it. She was very thankful about it. Everytime I go to that grocery shop, that cashier already know me and she always smiles at me. I believed simple acts of honesty is a good thing. To all women out there, congratulations once again! Keep the good job always!

I was a bit scared now because I am still using a Windows XP Program. I was a bit enlighten because I am using a safer browser Mozilla Firefox. I just read awhile ago regarding a news over the internet warning all users of Windows XP and those who are using Internet Explorer browser. Microsoft confirmed that there is a danger to your computer security because the Hacker used that F1 Help Key to attack your computers.

If you press F1 in your keyboard, there might be a risk that your computer will be attacked by viruses. It is said that users of Windows XP using Internet Explorer browser are vulnerable to such risks. On the other hand, users of Windows 7, Vista, Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2 are on the safer side.

It is also advice that you better use safer internet browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Opera. If ever there are script running or appearing while you are browsing online, it is advice that you better stop it from running. I already heard a lot of these words from my friends. They said that I am very lucky because I already have some investments back home. Some of them have been living and working in Germany and other countries around the globe for decades but they still can’t afford to invest in the Philippines. I believed it is how you manage the financial aspect of your life. As you can see, I am jobless at the moment but I can still do something. I am earning a bit money but it is going to good hands most of the time. I might sell my timeshare when emergency comes. This is the 600 sq.m. lot that we bought near Cebu City last time. HB was also very happy because of the home improvements that is still going on in our house. Just a little tip for you, if you want to invest for your future always set-aside money for it. Or maybe do it slowly but surely.

Before I went home for vacation in the Philippines last November 2009, we already ordered something like a fireplace. Actually it is called pelletsofen in German which means in English pellet oven. You can see some pictures of it at Amish fireplaces. We are using before a wooden fireplace and electric heaters. The pellet oven that we have looks exactly the same as the picture I have here. This is where we also ordered our pellet oven.

With the very cold winter in Germany, we really need something to keep us warm or else I might get frozen and sick of colds. We are still using our electric heater especially in my computer room and in our bedroom. That pellet oven is use downstairs for the living room and kitchen. HB is very happy and contented with our new heater.

Happy first day of March! I am not really happy this morning because as I was opening my 1000 Gb external hard drive where I saved all of my pictures, it won’t open anymore. I was really afraid about it because all my important pictures, files and documents are stored in there. What happened was, I was trying to insert another USB stick so that I can transfer pictures from my external HD to the USB stick for developing. After I inserted the USB stick or flash drive, my 1 terabyte HD stop functioning already. I tried to plug and unplug it for some times but still it won’t open thoroughly. It will open for some seconds but later on it will also turn-off. I am getting scared already afraid that I will lose all my important files. What I did was, I unplugged the USB stick and turn-on again the External HD. After around three times of restarting it all over again, it finally works. Until now, I am browsing some pictures from it. Thanks goodness, it is working again. If the same thing happened to you, you might try what I did.

Good evening peeps! I just mentioned in my previous post that the weather today was so friendly. I am slowly saying goodbye to winter and snow. In fact, I really don’t need them right now. I am quite excited for the spring time to see the plants and flowers to bloom again in our garden. It is also time to pack-up some winter stuffs especially my winter jackets. I wish to pack it inside a huge box. I don’t know how big are custom cardboard boxes if ever I want to order some. I’d rather check it online to have an idea.
