I cannot forget that time when my Mother can’t see good anymore due to cataract. My youngest brother became her guide before because of poor eyesight caused by cataract. I guess, you are familiar what a cataract is.? It is like a cloudy tissue that forms in the lens of the eye that obstruct the passage of the light, thus causing poor vision or blindness. Cataract can be removed through operation. My Mother had two eye operations due to this disorder. The first eye was operated but no lense was implanted because she was attacked by high blood pressure. As we moved to Cebu City, I consulted my Mother to a very good eye doctor. There she had a laser operation on the other eye and this time both eyes where already implanted with lenses. Now my Mother’s eye sight are back to normal. Thanks to the successful operation that our modern medical technology brings.

Cataract if not immediately properly deal with or operated can be very dangerous. It will lead to more complicated sickness like glaucoma. We should be thankful that we already have modern medical technology that can cure this sickness. Talking about eye problems, the latest one is the so-called iLasik. Eye problems like nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and the like can already be treated with iLasik procedure. Oh yeah!! It’s TGIF again!! We are already in the middle of the month of January. It’s very amazing how time passes by so quickly!! I hope that we are all in good health always. Last night, I was feeling bad due to some migraine. I felt like vomiting already. I took a pause while writing in one of my sites. After drinking a lot of water and taking a short nap, I felt better again. I guess this is due to some stress back home after I received some bad news. Pity for those people who lost their home near the beach in my Mother’s province in Cebu. I even talked to a friend yesterday that some concrete houses in Cagayan de Oro where also damaged by the strong sea waves. That is a catastrophe. My Mother even got worry because of the damage. I told here that it’s not really a big problem, it is only a material damage. As long as they are safe and healthy, is the most important thing. I hope this weekend will be a great one to all of us!! This site is almost one year old this month. I can’t imagine that times truly passes by so quickly. It is Wednesday again! How was your day? Today is freezing cold outside. I don’t want to spend my day outside with this very cold weather. I went to the furniture store near our place last Monday. I paid the Vitrine or Glass showcase which I need for my porcelain and crystal collection. I also bought some new beddings that are on sale and some kitchen utensils. Since I was already there, I was also looking for a tv stand to replace ours that was destroyed by flooding water last December 2006. Our water pipe inside the house exploded in the middle of the might that caused damages to some furniture and equipment. On Friday, I will be backed there again to pick-up my showcase and will also buy something which I saw in their flyers. I have to slowly sign-off for a while to start preparing for dinner before my husband will arrive from work. Happy Wednesday!!

I am waiting right now for my family especially for my sister to go online so that we can chat with each other again. We haven’t chat since Christmas because they are all in the province during the past holidays. We have a computer there but there is still no internet connection. They bought last time a web and walk stick but the connection is very slow. My brother mentioned in yahoo IM yesterday that they are all back in Cebu City.

My sister is an IT graduate and worked before in Lexmark Cebu City. She quited her job last year because she went to my cousin in Singapore to find better job opportunities. Until her tourist visa expired, she was forced to go back home. Until now she is still looking for job. She told me last time that she might be hired by Lexmark again. Until now she was still not called. I told her last time that she can probably attend some courses or training related to her degree as an IT professional.
